My oldest is out of school for the summer, we are going on vacation next week, and I've been sewing like a madwoman. There aren't enough hours in the day to finish everything I want to finish. I have been making headbands and sundresses. My cousin asked if I could make her son a hooded towel. It's a good thing I love to sew! lol

I saw a dress on Etsy that I fell in love with! I decided my little girl HAD to have one. I find it very rewarding to create a dress without using a pattern. As a matter of fact I have never even seen a pattern. lol I spent roughly 12 hours and wasted about 1 yard of fabric on this dress (trial and error lol). I still have a lot to learn but I'm slowly getting there. :)

My fabric arrived Tuesday and I couldn't wait to rip open the package and devour it! lol I have only made one shirt so far. That's only because I have two little ones under toe all day that seem to need my attention as soon as I sit down to sew. Why does that always happen? lol I hope to get more sewing time in this weekend.
My intent for the following shirt was skewed a little. I apparently did something wrong because it didn't shir up as much as I had hoped. Therefore, my measurements were off and it was too big for my little girl. So I sewed it into a shirt for my niece. Oh well, I'm sure even the most experienced seamstresses have their off days. ;)
